Legacy Marketplace is a ministry initiative that embodies this mandate by empowering believers to carry their faith into the marketplace. My vision is to activate and empower entrepreneurs, leaders, and individuals with a purpose-driven vision, leaving a lasting Godly legacy.
In December 2005, during fasting and prayer, the Lord spoke prophetically to me in my Spirit. He said, "I've called you to be a leader in the kingdom of God to spread the gospel, exhort, encourage, motivate, share hope, and develop businesspeople and children of God through the world who will listen. You will go to churches, conferences, team building events, schools, and businesses around the globe to share teaching, encourage people, leave a footprint of excitement, hope, and purpose, and reveal what is inside them. All this can be done through Christ, putting Him first and leaving a legacy of excitement, hope, and purpose."
Why Marketplace Ministry?
The Problem Within the Body of Christ: Several limiting beliefs have long hindered the Body of Christ.
1. Sacred vs. Secular Life: The misleading belief that spiritual and secular lives are separate.
2. Sunday-Only Holiness: The misconception that God's presence is confined to Sunday worship.
3. Five-Fold Ministry Exclusivity: The notion that only those in traditional ministry roles can experience God's power.
These beliefs contradict the life and ministry of Jesus, who demonstrated God's power predominantly in the marketplace, not just in synagogues. Jesus' parables often had workplace contexts, emphasising that faithful ministry happens daily.
